Position Profile: MANAGER – BUSINESS AND OFFICE OPERATIONS

This key managerial position is responsible for all office and administrative functions at Jamison Electric Service Company (JESCo), reporting to the Managing Partner/CEO of the Company. This function includes managing the Company’s accounting activities, administering the Company’s human resources programs, preparation of bids and proposals and development/support of internal systems and processes. The Office Manager owns the definition, planning and/or execution of the processes and activities that make up this function and will be accountable for the performance of these activities. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the accounting function, which includes billing customers, collecting receivables, administering payroll and accounts payable, and interfacing with the Company’s CPA for preparation of financial reports, statements and tax returns;
• Preparing job bids, proposals and contracts for approval by the Managing Partner/CEO;
• Administering human resource functions and programs, including benefits, regulatory compliance, and performance review and disciplinary processes; and
• Developing internal systems and processes, maintaining these systems and training Company personnel on the use of the systems, and maintenance of company records and business files.

Base Qualifications: The Office Manager must have the following qualifications:
• 4+ years of recent, successful experience in a position with similar responsibilities to this position;
• Proven results in designing/defining effective financial and administrative processes, systems and associated controls and measurements (without being a bureaucrat);
• High level of proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel, Publisher, Power Point) and Quick Books;
• Excellent communication (both written and oral) and relationship management skills; and
• Capable of troubleshooting computer system problems and identifying solutions.

Position Profile: Supervisor of field operations

This key managerial position is responsible for the electrical service field operations and material inventory management functions at Jamison Electric Service Company (JESCo), reporting to the President/CEO of the Company. This function includes staffing, training and managing the Company’s electrical technician and field supervisor staff; and purchasing job related materials, small tools and approved capital equipment, and controlling the inventory of these material items.

The Supervisor of field operations owns the definition, planning, execution and management of the processes and activities that make up this function, and will be accountable for the performance of these activities as measured by job quality, volume, timeliness and budget attainment metrics.

Key responsibilities include:
• Staffing, training and managing field technician personnel to achieve job performance results that meet or exceed the company’s service quality and material/labor cost metrics;
• Maximizing profitability of service operations that include residential and commercial, on-call service jobs and property management contracts;
• Controlling materials inventories to minimize losses, costs and outages;
• Insuring that all service vehicles are maintained in accordance with company policies, procedures and practices for mechanical condition, cleanliness and operation;

Base Qualifications: This position must have the following qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with recent, successful experience in managing field technicians as contemplated for this position;
• At least 2 years experience in direct interaction with customers, and home warranty companies in particular, in problem solving and satisfaction related situations;
• Excellent communication (both written and oral), customer interaction and relationship management skills;
• Knowledge of ServiceWorks scheduling and billing/cost tracking systems;
• Knowledge of national, federal, state and local electrical and construction codes; and
• Capable of troubleshooting computer system problems and identifying solutions.

Nice-to-haves:
• Intensely customer oriented and driven;
• Independent worker with confidence to work in a small business environment;
• Good working knowledge of basic business and contract law; familiarity with electrical industry and procurement;
• Good estimating skills; and

Position Profile: Service Call Dispatcher & Administrator

This key position is responsible for coordinating field technician activities related to completing customer service calls in order to maximize the calls that can be accomplished by a field technician in a normal, eight-hour workday. The position reports to the Supervisor – Customer Operations.

The Service Call Dispatcher & Administrator is accountable for insuring that all service calls are completed as scheduled, timely resolution of any issues that develop in a technician’s daily route plan, and the performance of all activities related to this position.

Key responsibilities include:

• Communicating technician response times and status with customers by telephone;
• Administering daily route plans for service calls by field technicians using the ServiceWorks software system and Palm Pilot system;
• Identifying and resolving data errors;
• Closing out service call work orders;
• Maintaining location status of field technicians, and redirecting calls to other technicians as required; communicate with technicians through Nextel radio system;
• Insuring compliance with establish internal control policies and procedures;
• Working with the accounting function to reconcile issues related to completing billing for service calls.

Base Qualifications: The Service Call Dispatcher & Administrator must have the following qualifications:

• 2+ years of recent experience in a position comparable to this position;
• Keyboard key entry skills of 50-60 words per minute;

The Inventory Control Specialist owns the definition, planning, execution and management of the processes and activities encompassed in performing in this position, and will be accountable for the Company’s inventory assets, insuring that material inventory levels meet requirements for supporting field service operations, and performance of all position related activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Recording and maintaining control of all inventory items purchased and used;
• Controlling material inventories to minimize losses, costs and outages;
• Insuring compliance with established internal control policies and procedures;
• Issuing purchase orders for the acquisition of inventory to maintain stocking levels in all Company service vehicles and warehousing locations;
• Working with the accounting function to reconcile inventory balances and material usages with Company cost and financial records.
• Analyzing material usage trends and establishing minimum stocking levels by part number.

Position Profile: Senior Bookkeeper

This key senior-level contributor position is responsible for all bookkeeping activities and services: A\R, A\P, payroll, purchase orders, reconciliation of accounts, deposits, EOM reports, regulatory filings, and budget reporting to the Managing Partner/CEO of the Company. This function includes, transfer of records from Service Works to QuickBooks software and managing the Company’s financials, and handling customer support and dispute resolution.

The Bookkeeper owns the definition, planning, execution and management of the processes and activities that make up this function and will be accountable for the performance of these activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Issue daily invoicing and billing
• Posting and control of A\Rand A\P;
• Monthly reconciliation of accounts and ledgers, and working with CPA to correct any problems or issues ;
• Filing all regulatory forms for Company & it’s employees,
• Preparing monthly financial reports, and working with the Company’s CPA in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements
• Maintaining all asset records and vehicle records, registrations, and licensing.
• Manage and maintain Health programs


Base Qualifications: The Bookkeeper must have the following qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience as a general bookkeeper with recent, successful experience in managing corporate financial and accounting activities as contemplated for this position;
• Excellent communication (both written and oral), customer interaction and relationship management skills;
• Knowledge of M/S Excel, QuickBooks and ServiceWorks billing/cost tracking system;
• Knowledge of federal, state and local tax accounting and reporting requirements; and

Master Service Electrician

A Service Electrician to respond to service calls on residential, Commercial, Industrial & all aspects of the electrical Industry in Arizona (Phoenix, Tucson areas) & Southern California (San Diego,Los Angeles & Orange County areas) & Northern California (Contra Costa, San Jose & Bay area), Nevada, Maryland & Virginia

Skills and Experience

Must have:

  • Reference
  • Own truck
  • All hand tools, Benders, Saws, Meters, Etc.
  • Minimum 5+ years Trouble shooting Experience
    Clean Professional appearance
  • Clean D.M.V. or M.V.R. Record
  • Complete understanding of Ohms Law
  • Ability to translate Meter readings
  • Ability to handle Sales, transactions, Work orders, Quotes, Log, company vehicles & Scheduling
  • Computer, internet connection

Knowledge

  • Basic Wiring (Residential and Commercial)
  • Ability to troubleshoot efficiently
  • Blue Print and Schematic reading
  • Motor Control
  • Ohms Law
  • Meter reading
  • N.E.C.
  • Local Codes
  • Process which involves governing agencies
  • Full knowledge of electrical (electricity) and the ability to express in
    terms that can be understood by the Customer

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot efficiently & proficiently
  • Present yourself in a Professional, Clean and P.R. manner
  • Respond to Electrical Service Calls Throughout the assigned area Mon-Fri
  • On-call rotation after hours & weekends
  • Ability to work in any environment under any conditions
  • Handle Sales, transactions, Work Orders, Quotes, Logs Vehicle Security & Scheduling
  • Build repor with customer for future growth

Summary

This is a key position for the company and reports directly to the Service Manager
after a review period of thirty (30) days minimum. The winning candidate will have:
1) Company Benefits 2) Vacation 3) Educational expansion through seminars and classes
